POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State volleyball begins conference play this week as they travel to Cedar City, Utah to face Southern Utah on Sept. 26 at 6:30 p.m. (MST) and Flagstaff, Ariz. to face Northern Arizona on Sept. 28 at 2 p.m. (MST).

Southern Utah
Southern Utah is 7-5 heading into conference play. The Thunderbirds average 12.26 kills per set for an attacking percentage of .266. Defensively, they average 14.14 digs per set and 1.7 blocks per set. 

SUU finished the 2018 season with a 6-24 overall record and 5-13 in conference play.

Since 2012, the Bengals are 13-2 against Southern Utah. In 2018, their match-ups were split with ISU winning, 3-0, on Sept. 22 and SUU winning, 3-2, on Oct. 18.


Northern Arizona
NAU has a 7-5 record heading into conference play. The Lumberjacks average 12.32  kills per and a .316 attacking percentage. Defensively, they average 15.20 digs per set and 2.34 blocks per set. 

In 2018, Northern Arizona won the Big Sky Championship going 15-3 in conference.

Since 2009, Idaho State has compiled a 13-11 record against NAU. In the last 10 match-ups, NAU has a 8-2 record against ISU, winning the last two match-ups, 3-0 and 3-1. ISU last defeated the Lumberjacks, 3-2, on Sept. 20, 2018.
