Volleyball Heads to Kent State Tournament

POCATELLO, Idaho –
Idaho State volleyball travels to Kent, Ohio to compete in the Kent State Tournament Sept. 6-7.  The Bengals will face Valparaiso (Sept. 6) at 10 a.m. (MST), Robert Morris (Sept. 6) at 3 p.m. (MST), and Kent State (Sept. 7) and 9 a.m. (MST).

Valparaiso
Valparaiso is 2-2 to start the 2019 season. They defeated Murray State 3-1 and IUPUI 3-1. They lost to South Dakota 3-1 and Notre Dame 3-0. The Crusaders average 11.6 kills per set with 13.5 against. Defensively, they average 17.1 digs per set and 1.7 blocks per set. 

Robert Morris
Robert Morris has a 3-0 record to start the 2019 season.  They defeated Manhattan 3-0, Elon 3-2, and McNeese 3-1 during the RMU Sheraton Invitational Aug. 30-31. The Colonials average 12.6 kills per set and 11.2 assists per set. Defensively, they average 17.1 digs per set and 3.3 blocks per set.

Kent State
Kent State has a 2-1 record to start the 2019 season. They defeated Eastern Kentucky 3-0 and Gardener-Webb 3-0. They lost 3-1 to Charlotte. The Golden Eagles average 14.2 kills per set and 11.8 against. Defensively, they average 19.1 digs per set and 2.0 blocks per set.
