POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team returns to the road for a 4 p.m. contest at Northern Arizona on Saturday at 4 p.m. Jerry Miller will call the action live at 4 p.m. with the pregame show starting at 3:30 p.m. To follow the game online with live stats, audio and video log onto isubengals.com. 

Idaho State and NAU have played some close games since 2010 as 13 of the last 19 meetings have been decided by single digits. Nine of the meetings have been decided by three points or less. Idaho State has won the last two meetings in Flagstaff. 

Idaho State returns home to host Weber State on January 16 at 7 p.m.

Scouting NAU (7-6, 1-3)
NAU scores 72.5 points a game and holds opponents to 67.3 points a game. The Lumberjacks shoot .452 percent from the field and opponents shoot .453 percent. NAU is shooting .381 percent from the three-point line and .679 percent from the free throw line. NAU out rebounds its opponents, 34.3-32.8. NAU turns the ball over 13.2 times a game while opponents turn it over 14.4. Cameron Shelton scores 13.5 points a game and averages 6.4 rebounds. Ted McCree averages 10 points a game. Brooks DeBisschop scores 9.8 points and averages a team-best 7.3 rebounds. 

Recapping SUU
- The Idaho State men's basketball team lost 71-55 to Southern Utah.
- Southern Utah (10-5, 3-1) led the entire game and held a lead as big as 16 at different times in the second half.
- SUU shot 49.1 percent from the field while Idaho State was held to 32.7 percent shooting. Idaho State out rebounded the T-Birds 38-31. Jared Stutzman had a team-high six.
- Chier Maker had 15 points and Lyle Sutton played a career-best 18 minutes and scored a career-high 10 points.
- The Bengals fell behind 20-6 in the first nine minutes of the game. ISU then went on an 18-7 run to cut its deficit to 27-24 after a 3-pointer by Tarik Cool. The Bengals got no closer the rest of the way.
- Idaho State trailed 33-29 at halftime and stayed within striking distance for the first 10 minutes of the second half.
- SUU led 46-40 with 10:37 to play after a free throw by Stutzman. The T-Birds then outscored Idaho State  12-4 to lead 58-44 with 6:55 left in the game. The lead would remain in double digits the rest of the way.
