POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team lost 85-61 to UC Davis on Saturday afternoon in the final day of the Bronco Invitational at Santa Clara University.
Tarik Cool led Idaho State with 18 points on 7-16 shooting. He was 4-10 from the three-point line and grabbed six rebounds.
Malik Porter had 14 points and 10 rebounds and Robert Ford III added 12 points and four assists.
Idaho State shot 42 percent from the field (24-57). The Bengals were 7-23 from the foul line and 6-12 from the free throw line.
Idaho State was forced into 21 turnovers that resulted in 24 Aggie points.
Idaho State out rebounded UC Davis 38-27. Ford had seven rebounds.
Idaho State led 30-25 at halftime and led for nearly 15 minutes of the game. UC Davis was not able to pull away until the final five minutes of the contest.
The Bengals trailed 53-52 with 5:07 to play after a 3-pointer by Cool. The Aggies then went on a 10-1 run to take a 62-53 lead with 1:02 remaining. The Bengals got no closer than six points the rest of the way.
Idaho State returns to action on Dec. 8 against the University of Utah.
