POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State softball plays its second tournament of the season on Feb. 14-16 in the UC Riverside Classic in Riverside, Calif.

The Bengals take on UTEP, Feb. 14, at 12:30 p.m. (MST) before playing UC Riverside at 3 p.m. (MST). On Feb. 15, ISU again faces UTEP at 10 a.m. (MST) and Santa Clara at 12:30 p.m. (MST). Idaho State finishes the tournament on Feb. 16 against UC Riverside at 3 p.m. (MST). All games will haveÂ

Following the tournament, ISU will play in a double-header against San Diego beginning at 1 p.m. (MST) in San Diego, Calif.
"We are excited to get back on the field and put into action some things we learned from last weekend," said Head CoachÂ
Cristal Brown. "We're going to be playing a lot of great competition and want to give those teams everything we've got every pitch."

UTEP
The Miners went 17-33 last season with a 10-14 record in Conference USA. This season, UTEP is 0-5 after losing five straight in the New Mexico State Tournament, Feb. 7-9, with four of the losses coming from five inning run rules.
ISU is 1-2 in the all-time series against UTEP. The teams last matched up in 2019 in a 3-1 Bengal victory. In 2018, the Miners pulled away with two victories over Idaho State, 4-2 and 9-0 (5).
UC Riverside
The UC Riverside Highlanders posted a 26-27 overall record while going 8-13 in the Big West Conference last season. The Highlanders are 2-3 so far this season after competing in the Cal State Fullerton Titan Classic on Feb. 7-9.
ISU is 3-6 in the all-time series against UCR. The Bengals last defeated UC Riverside in 2016, 4-2, while the Highlanders pulled away with a 2-1 victory in 2018 and a 5-2 victory in 2019.
Santa Clara
Santa Clara secured a 16-34 record in the 2018-19 season with an 8-7 record in the West Coast Conference. This season, the Broncos are 2-3 after competing in the UC Davis Tournament where they faced Idaho State, defeating the Bengals 8-0 (5).
ISU is 4-5 in the all-time series against the Broncos with its last victory coming in 2016, 8-5.
USD
The Toreros finished the 2019 season with a 20-29 record and a 4-11 record in the West Coast Conference. USD is 2-2 this season after competing in the Stacey Winsberg Memorial Tournament last weekend, Feb. 7-9.
ISU is 1-1 in the all-time series against USD. Both teams walked away with a victory in 2014. ISU posted a 5-2 victory against the Toreros' 3-2 victory.
