POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State men's tennis team lost a hard fought match against the Air Force Academy 5-2 Sunday morning in Colorado Springs.
The Bengals opened the day winning the doubles point. At doubles one, Fynn Lohse and Lukas Ridemar defeated Paul Hendrix and Jamie Bautista (6-4). Patrik Trhac and Gary Rendek defeated Jordan Azuma and Justin Waldman (6-2). Rounding out the doubles play, Kyler Hartman and Yohann Prinsen were beaten by Mack Galvin and Sean McKendree (6-0).
In singles play, Trhac picked up the lone Bengal win defeating Azuma in a hard fought (6-4, 1-6, 7-5).
Hendrix defeated Ridemar (6-4, 7-6) and Galvin defeated Lohse (6-3, 6-3). At Singles four, Waldman beat Rendek (6-2, 6-2) and on five, Bautista beat Prinsen (6-4, 6-4). Rounding out the day, McKendree defeated Hartman (6-0, 6-3).
Next week, The Bengals head south to Provo, Utah to take on the Cougars of Brigham Young University.
