POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State women's tennis team split its final two matches of the weekend, beating Lewis-Clark 7-0 and losing to Idaho 5-2. Both matches were played in Lewiston.
In the sweep over Lewis-Clark,
Melissa Coburn earned a 6-2, 4-2 win over Begona Andres.
Alexandra Arkhipov beat Laura Diaz, 6-1, 6-0 and
Angela Walker beat Laura Rosselli, 6-2, 6-3.
Madison Fenske beat Alexis Maison, 6-0, 6-1.
Adriene Pavek beat Kyla Collier, 6-1, 6-0 and
Viktoria Pavlovets knocked off Sophie Uhlenkott, 6-0, 6-2.
Fenske and Coburn earned a 6-2 doubles win and Pavek and Pavlovets picked up a 6-2 win.
In the loss to Idaho, Walker earned the 6-3, 3-6, 10-6 singles win. Walker and Arkhipov also had a 7-6 win over Melissa Huchet and Marta Magalhaes. Fenske and Coburn beat Nicole Horacek and Shion Watabe, 6-1.
Idaho State has a few weeks off before play at Portland State on March and Northern Colorado on March 9.
