POCATELLO, Idaho - The Idaho State Bengals dropped the second game of their series against Sacramento State 3-0 (25-19, 25-12, 25-17) Sunday afternoon in Sacramento.
The Bengals tied the game twice in the first set at seven points and then again at eight. Afterward, the Hornets led for the entirety of the match.
The Bengals controlled the battle at the net, out-blocking the Hornets 10-six. Taylor Meeks and Kaia Rhodes both contributed five block assists.
The Bengals .120 on the match with 26 kills on 92 attacks. Sadie Gardner led the team in kills with eight on 30 attacks. Reagan Kunz hit .538 on the game with seven kills on 13 attacks.
Andri Dewey and Gardner led the team in digs with eight a piece.Â
The Bengals are back at home next week as they take on The University of Idaho in the Battle of the Domes Saturday, Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. MST and Sunday, Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. MST.
