POCATELLO, Idaho.- The Idaho State volleyball team fell to NAU 3-0, 25-18, 25-21, 25-21 on Thursday night in Flagstaff, Ariz.
The Bengals fought hard in all three sets. The Bengals had 33 kills, 43 digs, and a .112 hit percentage while NAU finished the night hitting .270 and recording 40 digs.
In the first set, the Bengals led by as much as six points at 8-2. Later in the match, NAU went on a 9-0 scoring run to spark its run to the 25-18 victory.
The Bengals came out hot and led most of the second set. With the Bengals leading 20-16, NAU went on a 9-1 scoring run to take the lead for good and earn the four point set two victory.
Idaho State and NAU kept within three points of each other the entire set until the Lumberjacks pulled away late to earn the 25-21 victory. There was only one lead change in each of the three sets played.
Sadie Bluth led the way for the Bengals with 12 kills. Rachel Driskell led the team in digs with 16.
Andri Dewey had 27 assists.
