POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State women's basketball team fell to No. 10 University of Oregon 91-34 Tuesday evening in Eugene. The contest between the Bengals and the Ducks marks the highest AP ranked opponent the Bengals have played since the 2011 season.
The ducks, who boast a tall roster with multiple players over 6' 7" tall, were able to dominate the game from the start and controlled the contest start to finish.
Callie Bourne led the Bengals with seven points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals. Ellie Smith, Estefania Ors and Montana Oltrogge had six points each.
Even with the height differential, The Bengals held the ducks to a rebound margin of eight, getting out-rebounded 40-30.
Kayla Salmons and Anaya Bernard both scored their first baskets in their college careers. Bernard also had three boards during the game.
The Bengals are back home Saturday, Nov. 13 at 7:00 p.m. as they take on Park University.
