POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State Men's Tennis is excited to announce the commitment of JW Altman to join the program in the fall of 2022. An accomplished junior player from Wichita Falls, Texas, Altman is a two-time Texas high school state champion at Christ Academy.

Alexander Free. "JW is a tremendous athlete with big time potential to develop here at Idaho State and his energy and enthusiasm made him a top priority for us in this recruiting class. He is exactly the type of player we want to build our program and culture with here and we can not wait to get him on campus."
As a junior recruit, Altman won three Texas High School state team championships in addition to his two individual state titles at Christ Academy. A three-star recruit, Altman was ranked as high as #30 in Texas during his senior season and #284 in the US. In addition to his success on the court, Altman also lettered in basketball, track, and golf during his high school career.

Altman is the first recruit in the Bengal's 2022 recruiting class and will join a team that currently has 7 freshman and sophomores on the roster.
