POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team lost 78-54 to Montana on Thursday night in Missoula, Montana.
Brayden Parker led the Bengals with 15 points.
Malik Porter had 13 points and 11 rebounds while
Tarik Cool had 13 points and five rebounds.
Idaho State shot 38 percent for the game and was 2-13 from the three-point line. Montana shot 47.4 percent from the field and made eight 3-pointers. The Bengals did out rebound Montana 33-32. Idaho State turned the ball over 16 times to only six for the Griz.
Idaho State's only lead was 4-3 early in the game. The Bengals trailed 22-17 with nine minutes left in the game. Montana then went on a 9-2 run to lead 31-19 with 4:35 left in the first half. Montana's biggest lead in the first half was 13. Montana led by double digits the entire second half and the final score was the largest lead of the game for Montana.
Idaho State plays at Montana State on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Bozeman.
