POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's tennis team lost a pair of matches at Montana State on Saturday and Sunday in Bozeman. The Bengals lost 4-3 on Saturday and 5-2 on Sunday.
In Saturday's 4-3 loss,
Patrik Trhac won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 singles.
Hiroki Fujita won 7-5, 6-7 (4-7), 6-3 at No. 4 singles and
Robert Steinhauser won 6-2, 6-3 over Chase Stoner at No. 6 singles.
Montana State won the doubles point as the Bengals lone victory was
Jaime Castillo-Lopez and
Gary Rendek's 6-4 victory at No. 3 doubles.
In Sunday's loss, Trhac earned a 6-1, 5-7, 7-6 (5) victory at No. 1 singles. The Bengals won the doubles point at Trhac and
Aleksander Petrovic earned a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles. Hiroki Fukita and
Robert Steinhauser picked a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles.
The Bengals return to the court on Feb. 13 for an 11 a.m. match at BYU.
