POCATELLO, Idaho - The Idaho State men's tennis team will take on the Montana State Bobcats in its home opener on Saturday, March 19 at 3 p.m. in Reed Gym.
After 10 straight matches on the road to start the season, the men's tennis team will take the courts at Reed Gym. This will be the first time the men's tennis team has played a match at home since February 28, 2020. in over a year.
"We are certainly excited to be playing at home," said Head Coach
Alexander Free. "We got to see Montana State earlier this year in Bozeman, and we know they are a good team. I think everybody on this team has really improved since we played them in February and this is a great opportunity for our team to gain some momentum moving into our divisional slate and the 2nd half of our season"
The Bengals competed against Montana State twice this season in non-conference play. In the last two match-ups the Bengals fell short against the Bobcats in Bozeman, Montana. The close match scores were 4-3, and 5-2. ISU saw some strong wins out of its players the last time they played MSU and are hungry to piece together a team win at home.
The match on Saturday will be a non-conference match-up and will be in preparation for the Bengals first conference match that will take place next week against Northern Arizona University.
