POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team plays its final two regular season games at Eastern Washington on March 3 and March 5. Tip time on March 3 is 7 p.m. (MST) and 1 p.m. (MST) on March 5.

Idaho State is looking for its first win in Cheney since a 75-71 win on March 3, 2016.

January and February Success
Idaho State finished the month of January with a 5-2 mark. The .714 winning percentage is the best for the month of January since the 1994-95 team went 6-2 in the month (.750). Since 1994, this year's team is one of seven teams to win five games during the month. The defense shined during the month as it allowed only 62.7 points a game and held opponents to .402 percent shooting.
ISU went 3-2 in the month of February. This is only the third time since 1996-97 that the team has had a .500 record or better in January and February.
In 2015-16, the Bengals were 5-3 in January and February and in 1996-97 ISU was 5-4 in January and 4-4 in February.
Recapping Montana
Idaho State dropped two home games to Montana last week in Reed Gym. Idaho State averaged 58.5 points a game and gave up 61. ISU shot .363 percent from the field in the two games while Montana shot .413.
Robert Ford III led the Bengals in scoring in the two games with an average of 12.5 points a game.
