Bengals Head to Salt Lake for Midweek Doubleheader with Utah

POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State softball team returns to action Wednesday against the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. The doubleheader begins with first pitch set for 2:00 p.m., game two begins approximately 30 minutes after game one has concluded.

Bengal Bites

·        Emma Bordenkecher leads the team offensively with a .341 batting average, a .568 slugging percentage and a .412 on base percentage.

·        Bordenkecher leads the team with 25 RBIs.

·        Frankie Tago leads the team with extra-base hits with seven doubles and two home runs.

·        In the series against Montana, three Bengals hit .500; Isabel Cargill, Tago and Angelica Cano. The Three combined for 14 hits and 13 RBIs.

·        Amber Arreola showed her strength pinch hitting during the series against the Lady Griz. Arreola hit .375 in eight at bats and had six RBIs to continue to propel the Bengal offense.

The Utes lead the overall series 19-6. In the previous 10 matchups the Bengals are 1-9 against the utes.
