Bengals Head to Sacramento for Series against the Hornets

POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State softball heads to Sacramento this weekend to take on the Sac State Hornets in a Big Sky Conference matchup. Game one of the Friday, April 29th doubleheader starts at 1 p.m. MST game two starts 30 minutes after. Game three of the series is Saturday, April 30th at 1:00 p.m. MST.

Bengal Bites

·        During Wednesday's doubleheader, Angelica Cano hit three homeruns and finished with a .833 batting average a 2.500 slugging percentage and a .857 on base percentage. Playing shortstop for the Bengals she also was perfect in the infield going 8-0 for a 1.000 fielding percentage.

·        Senior First baseman Frankie Tago hit the first triple of her career against the Utes Wednesday afternoon.

·        Rheanne Lewis leads the team with a .330 batting average.

·        Emma Bordenkecher leads the team with a .537 slugging percentage and a team high 51 RBIs.

Putting on the Hits

·        In four of the previous five games, the Bengals have recorded double-digit hits averaging 10.4 hits per game.

·        The Hornets come into the series against the Bengals with a 6-6 conference record including a series sweep against the University of Montana.
