POCATELLO, Idaho- Senior, ZAK MONTOYA led the Idaho State men's cross country team on Saturday at the Montana State Cross Country Classic. He finished in 10th place with an 8k time of 24:52.30.
"Zak ran the fastest time we've had on the course before," Idaho State coach Nate Houle said.
The Bengal men finished fourth overall with 104 points.
Senior, Katie Weedn led the Bengal women with a 6k time of 17:31.80.
"This was my first time racing with the girls this year and it was really exciting to see how small our spread was (how close our top 5 girls were)," Weedn said. "Overall it was a great weekend for ISU XC."
The Bengal women then finished 4th overall with 112 points.
"The women's team overall ran really well and had one of the best team average times we've had here," Houle said.
