POCATELLO, Idaho - Idaho State volleyball fell in straight sets 3-0 to the Montana State Bobcats Thursday evening in Bozeman.
In the first set, the Bobcats jumped to a 7-2 lead early looking to control the set. The Bengals didn't stop fighting though, clawing back in the match to tie it at 14-14 on an MSU timeout. The Two teams battled back and forth, trading the lead multiple times before MSU pulled away to 21-18 and controlled the rest of the set, winning the first 25-20.
For the remainder of the match, the Bengals were never out of it, but the Bobcats controlled the ball in sets two and three, never giving up a lead en route to the 3-0 victory.
The Bengals ended the match hitting .204 with 35 kills.
Jamie Streit led the team with eight kills. Andri Dewy finished the match with 25 assists and
Asiah Sopoaga led in digs with 10.
Looking Ahead
The Bengals continue the road trip this weekend as they head to Missoula to take on the Montana Griz Saturday evening. First serve is set for 7:00 PM MT. The Match will be broadcast on ESPN+ and live stats will be available.
