POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State volleyball team continues its Big Sky Conference Campaign this weekend as the Bengals head north to take on the Idaho Vandals and the Eastern Washington Eagles.
Both matches will be broadcast on ESPN+ and Live Stats will be available for both contests.
Bengal Bites
· Since the start of conference play, Emrie Satuala has the 2nd highest hitting percentage in the Big Sky with a .433 average in 13 sets played. She also ranks No. 7 in blocks in the conference with 15 averaging 1.15/set.
· Sadie Bluth ranks fifth in kills In kills in conference play averaging 3.40 per set.
· Andri Dewey ranks 9th in conference play in assists averaging 7.15/set.
· Two Bengals crack the top-10 in service aces, Jamie Streit ranks sixth with six total and Sadie Bluth is at No.9
· Asiah Sopoaga is at No. 6 in the top-10 digs list with 63 averaging 4.85/set
Quick Scout – Idaho Vandals
· The Idaho Vandals are sitting at 3-12 this season with an 0-3 conference record after the first two weeks of play.
· Idaho holds a slim, 24-23 lead over the Bengals in the all-time series. Their last meeting was a 3-0 sweep for the Vandals in Pocatello.
· The Vandals average a .185 hitting percentage while opponents hit .260 on average.
· They are out-blocking opponents 104-98 on the season and they average 2.1 blocks per set.
Quick Scout – EWU Eagles
· The EWU Eagles are 6-9 this season with a 1-2 conference record coming off of a 3-0 win against the Idaho Vandals. The Eagles have dropped Big Sky Contests against Portland State and Montana State.
· Against common opponents, the Eagles have losses to Gonzaga (1-3) and Boise State (1-3).
· EWU holds a slight series edge 40-39 while in Cheney they lead the overall series 19-16 going back to 1978.
