Bengals Play Utah on Monday

Idaho State returns to the road in the state of Utah to play a 6 p.m. contest at the University of Utah. The game will be televised on the Pac 12 Network and Jerry Miller will call the game live on KISU with the pregame show beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Westcliff Recap 
The Idaho State men's basketball team defeated Westcliff University 97-56 on Thursday evening in Reed Gym.

Idaho State led the entire game and shot 50 percent from the field in the home opening victory. Miguel Tomley led the scoring attack with 19 points, five assists and no turnovers.

Idaho State had five players finish in double figures. Jay Nagle had 12 points and seven rebounds. Brock Mackenzie had 12 points while Kolby Lee finished with 12 points and six rebounds. Jared Rodriguez finished with 11 points.

ISU was able to play 14 players with 11 scoring. Tommy Ball scored his first career points as a Bengal with a three-pointer in the final minutes of the game.

The Bengal made 15 3-pointers on 35 attempts. ISU had 17 assists, 11 steals and 41 rebounds.

The Bengal defense held Westcliff to 31 percent from the field and forced 19 turnovers.

Idaho State jumped out to a 28-8 lead in the first nine minutes of the game. ISU led by as many as 36 points at several different points of the first half.

The Bengals led 56-25 at halftime and built a lead to as many as 47 points at 80-43 midway through the second half.
