POCATELLO, Idaho- Â The Idaho State men's tennis team won its fourth straight match on Friday afternoon in Reed Gym, defeating conference rival Weber State, 6-1, in the Big Sky opener.
The Bengals won the doubles point thanks to
Patrik Trhac and
Aleksandar Petrovic earning a 7-5 win at No. 1 doubles.
Wikus Robbertse and
Hiroki Fujita won 6-3 at the No. 3 position to seal the point.
In singles play, Trhac and Petrovic battled to three set victories. Trhac won 4-6, 7-6, 7-5 and Petrovic earned a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 win.
The Bengals swept No. 4, 5 and 6 singles.
Patrick Kristensen won 6-4, 6-4 while Fujita won 7-5, 6-3. Robbertse closed out the evening with a 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles.
Idaho State hosts Colorado Mesa on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in Reed Gym.
