Bengals Drop Final Game Against Griz, Win Series 2-1

POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State softball fell 10-1 to the Montana Griz in six innings Saturday afternoon in Missoula. The Bengals (19-20, 3-6 BSC) lost the lead early and the Griz held on throughout the game.

The Griz took advantage of a five-run third inning and a three-run third inning to extend the lead and control the game.

The Bengals had three hits with Angelica Cano scoring the lone run for the Orange and Black, a single at the pitcher in the top of the third inning.

Isabella Hanson and Brook Richards also contributed hits for the Bengals.

The Bengal pitchers combined for 10 runs allowed and five strikeouts in the game.

On Deck

The Bengals head to Boise next Tuesday for a double header showdown with in-state opponent Boise State. Then on Thursday, April 14 come out to Miller Ranch to watch the Bengals and BYU Cougars face off in a single game.
