POCATELLO, Idaho - The Idaho State Bengals (0-0-1) used some late-game heroics by Bengal Forward
Gabby Warta to earn the 1-1 draw with Westminster College in the 2022 regular-season opener.
The two teams battled for 50 minutes before the first goal was scored and the Bengals never gave up in the final 30 before netting the game-tying goal and coming away from the game with the draw.
The Bengals now hit the road for the next month as they face their next six opponents before returning home in mid-september.

- 45:00, the Bengals and Griffins work to a 0-0 first half score, The Bengals outshoot the Griffins seven to six but are unable to net a goal.
- 48:58, the griffins score the first goal of the match, a strong kick from 20 meters out by Alex Hoffman
- 60-85 minutes, The Bengals press the attack recording shots from Mia Cartwright, Deborah pond, Morgen Fried and Karlin Wurlitzer
- 89:49, taking advantage of a rebound ball, Gabby Warta shoots the ball and it trickles over the line to tie the game.
Bengal Bites:
- The goal at 89:49 was Gabby Warta's sevent career goal and marked her 54th career shot as a Bengal.
- The Bengals and Griffins are now 1-2-1 all-time in the series.
- The match was Kelsey Jargstorf's first career start for the Orange and Black.
