POCATELLO, Idaho - The Idaho State Bengal volleyball team (9-6, 1-1 BSC) fell to the Sacramento State Hornets in Sacramento Saturday evening.
The first set saw an intense back and forth battle between the two programs with the Bengals producing their best hitting percentage of the night. The Bengals and Hornets were tied at 23-23 before Sac State was able to take advantage of some Bengal errors and pull away to take the set.
The Hornets took advantage of the first set win and carried that momentum through sets two and three. The Hornets excelled at the net and service line throughout the match, out blocking the Bengals 11-4 and scoring eight service aces.
Sadie Bluth led the Bengals offensively with 15 kills. Defensively,
Asiah Sopoaga finished with 11 digs. Andri Dewy and
Emrie Satuala both had three blocks.

The Bengals return home for their next match. On Friday, Sept. 30 the Idaho State Bengals host the Weber State Wildcats in a conference clash at 7:00 PM in Reed Gym
