POCATELLO, Idaho - Idaho State soccer fell to the UVU Wolverines 6-1 Saturday evening in Orem. The Bengals put together a strong first half, going into the locker room with a 1-1 tie. The Wolverines capitalized on ISU Mistakes in the 2nd half to net five goal and take the 6-1 win.
Coach Downey's Thoughts
The first half I thought we looked disciplined and organized, and as a result we were in the game with a 1-1 tie against a solid UVU squad.
We've got to be able to maintain the physical and mental discipline for 90 minutes though, not just 45. You can see how things will turn out when you play a good attacking side, and only manage to stay focused for 45 minutes.
My staff and I will need to try and figure out ways to help our team achieve this task. I'll say that when we are focused and committed to executing the game plan, we're a pretty good side, but we're just doing it in spurts, and it needs to become a consistent habit in order for us to be a championship team.

The Bengals head to St. George, Utah to take on the Utah Tech Trailblazers. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM.
