POCATELLO, Idaho – The Bengals and Wildcats battled back and forth through two overtime periods in front of a season-high crowd of almost 1,700 people in Reed Gym. While close, the wildcats were able to win the game on a last-second layup for a final score of 72-71.
Brayden Parker led the Bengals with 23 points on seven-of-19 shooting. The Bengal forward hit a layup with eight seconds left in the second overtime before Weber was able to convert the game-winning layup.
Brock Mackenzie was the only other Bengal in double-digits, scoring 11 points, and going three-of-five from the three-point line.
The Wildcats won the rebound battle 33-30 and the Bengals had 16 turnovers to Weber's 15.
The Bengals have a quick turnaround, heading to NAU on Monday to take on the Lumberjacks. Tip is set for 7:00 PM. The Game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
