Bengals Look to Bounce Back Against Lumberjacks

Pocatello, ID- The Idaho State men's basketball team will be on a quick one-game road trip to Flagstaff, Arizona to take on the Northern Arizona University Lumberjacks for the second time this season on Monday, February 5th at 6 p.m. In the teams' first matchup on December 29th, we saw the Bengals put on a dominant performance against the Lumberjacks in Pocatello, winning the game 79-53.

Northern Arizona comes into the game with a 6-18 record on the year and 2-9 in Big Sky Conference play, losing their latest matchups against Montana State and University of Montana last week. The Lumberjacks are averaging 71.5 points per game on 42.2 percent shooting from the field and 35.1 percent from beyond the arc.

The Bengals will look to stymie the Lumberjacks behind their shut-down defense. Idaho State's defense has been locking their opponents up this season holding opponents to just 30.9 percent from three-point territory (1st in the Big Sky), 44.4 percent shooting from the field, and average 6.2 steals per game (3rd in the Big Sky).

The tip will be at 6 p.m. in the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome in Flagstaff, AZ and Jerry Miller will call the game on KISU.
