POCATELLO, Idaho- The Bengal soccer team wrapped up their first two regular season matches on last Thursday and Sunday as they played at UC Davis and St. Mary's.
In the match versus UC Davis, we saw the Bengals fall to the Aggies 5-0.
Lydia Keller played all 90 minutes in goal for the Bengals, making four saves and allowing five goals. Forward,
Emerson Grafton finished with 51 minutes played and had two shots and one shot on goal for Idaho State.
On Sunday morning the Bengals prepared to take on St. Mary's in Moraga, California. The Gaels got off to a hot start scoring two goals in the 23
rd and 26
th minutes to take an early 2-0 lead on the Bengals. However, the Bengals fought back and cut the Gaels lead to 2-1, thanks to an
Isabella Winton goal off of a beautiful assist from
Brooklyn Kouns in the 56
th minute. After this goal Idaho State could not get another shot to reach the back of the net and finished the match with a 2-1 loss.
Chelsea Radicia played all 90 minutes in goal for the Bengals, finishing with five saves and two goals allowed.
Isabella Winton played 42 minutes and finished with her first career goal off of just one shot, and
Brooklyn Kouns played 74 minutes and tallied one assist.
Idaho State travels to the east coast to Winston-Salem, North Carolina to face off against Wake Forest on August 24
