POCATELLO, Idaho- The Bengal soccer team finished up their first match at home on Davis Field on Sunday as they clashed with Utah Valley University.
The Wolverines got off to a hot start scoring three goals in the first 29 minutes, taking an early 3-0 lead on the Bengals. After several Idaho State shot attempts that hit the cross bar, UVU took their 3-0 lead into halftime.
In the second half the Wolverines stalled several Bengal attacking attempts and quickly shifted field, lead to more scoring for the Wolverines as they went on to close out Idaho State, 6-0.
Lydia Keller played in goal all second half for the Bengals, finishing with seven saves and three goals allowed in 45 minutes.
Isabella Winton played 62 minutes and finished with one shot on goal.
Idaho State remains at Davis Field for their next two games. The Bengals take on South Dakota on Friday, September 1
st at 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday, September 3
rd the Bengals will be going up against South Dakota State at 1:00 p.m.
