ORANGE OUT // The Bengals to Play Defending Champions Weber at Reed Gym

Idaho State has not beat Weber at home since October of 2017

Pocatello, Idaho – Following a 1-1 week of conference play in two nailbiters versus the Montanas, the Idaho State Bengals will return to Pocatello to a sea of school spirit as they prepare to face Weber State in their upcoming Orange Out at Reed Gym.
 
Currently sitting at 12-4 (3-1 conf.), the Bengals have set a historic pace and hope to build on that momentum as the slate to play the defending Big Sky Champions in what figures to be a thriller.
 
The match will take place at Reed Gym this Friday, October 11th, at 7:00 PM.

# 6 Kate Payne, Senior – Payne looks to continue her strong performance on the stat sheet as she leads her team in both assists with 507 (4th in Big Sky) and service aces with 22 (4th in Big Sky). As well as that, she ranks 2nd for Weber in digs with 179 (10th in Big Sky) and 3rd in total blocks (33).

  • Three Bengals recorded career highs in the second week of conference play against Montana State. Jamie Streit had a massive outing with 27 total kills, Aliyah Sopo'aga put up an astounding 60 assists, and Meline Robarge totaled 16 kills on a strong effort offensively for Idaho State.
  • Idaho State has not beaten Weber at Reed Gym since October 14th of 2017 where they won 3-2. Weber holds a 10-3 record against the Bengals following said match.
  • With their 17 total team blocks against Montana last Saturday, Idaho State firmly holds the title of number 1 blocking team in the nation at 206. Eastern Michigan holds the second-place spot with a full 12.5 less blocks than the Bengals.
