POCATELLO, Idaho - The Idaho State Bengals (10-2) fell to the Utah Tech Trailblazers (4-5) in five innings Thursday afternoon.
The Trailblazers got a quick start to the game, scoring four runs in the bottom of the inning to take an early lead.
Utah Tech tacked on two more runs in the second and the third to extend the lead to eight and trigger the 'mercy rule'
Idaho State was unable to get the offense going, with
Alyssa Yee breaking up the Utah Tech no hitter.
The Bengals threw three pitcher in the circle with
Marley Goluskin earning the loss. In relief,
Emma McMurray pitched two innings allowing zero runs and zero hits.
The Bengals are back in action tomorrow at the Arizona State / Grand Canyon invitational taking on Utah Valley and Grand Canyon.
