Pocatello, Idaho – Bengal Sports Properties, the exclusive multimedia rights holder for Idaho State University Athletics, announced today the release of Ambush Roaring Ale, a craft beer collaboration with Pocatello-based and alumni-owned Jim Dandy Brewing.

Jim Dandy co-owner Hailee Gove's love of the art and science of brewing began at Idaho State University. During her five years at ISU, she built countless memories in labs and lecture halls, gaining valuable hands-on experience while working in Dr. Sheridan's biochemistry laboratory.
"One pivotal moment came from observing a fermentation course hosted for graduate students. It opened my eyes to the fascinating intersection of microbiology, chemistry, and brewing
science," Hailee said. "From that moment on, I knew the path I wanted to pursue and was eager to put my knowledge into practice."
Both Hailee and Davis Gove fondly recall their years at Idaho State not only for the education they received, but also for the friendships, mentorships, and professional relationships they continue to cherish today. Both remain actively involved with the ISU community by hosting microbiology club brewery tours & participating in educational panels with the Department of Biological Sciences. They continue to share their passion for brewing and science with the next generation of Bengals, and the beer is another way to give back.
With a name inspired by the term for a fierce gathering of tigers, "Ambush" is full of Bengal pride, and brings the ROAR in every pour. Ambush Roaring Ale is a 5.2% ABV golden ale that showcases the purity of Idaho-grown barley, delivering a crisp, clean body with a soft malt backbone. It is lightly hopped to add a hint of bright citrus flavor, with a smooth, refreshing, and endlessly drinkable finish.
Following its debut, a portion of the proceeds from every pint or can of Ambush Roaring Ale sold by Jim Dandy Brewing will directly benefit Idaho State University Athletics' student-athlete success.
In celebration of their partnership with the Bengals and the release of Ambush Roaring Ale, Jim Dandy Brewing will host an official celebration event next Tuesday, Oct. 21, at their taproom, 305 E. Lander beginning at 5:30 p.m.
