BOZEMAN, Montana – Idaho State volleyball wrapped up its Montana road swing on Saturday afternoon, falling to Montana State 0–3 (18–25, 22–25, 21–25) inside Shroyer Gym. The Bengals move to 7–13 overall and 3–5 in Big Sky play, while the Bobcats improved to 11–9 and 6–3 in conference action.

The Bengals battled throughout all three sets but couldn't find enough offensive rhythm to overcome a sharp Bobcat attack. Idaho State hit .147 as a team with 33 kills, while Montana State posted a .220 hitting percentage behind a balanced offensive effort that included five players with eight or more kills.
Redshirt freshman outside hitter Abby McClain once again paced the Bengals offensively, finishing with 9 kills and 9.5 total points on 30 attempts. Senior middle blocker Marci Bell was steady at the net, recording 4 kills on .214 hitting and four total blocks, while freshman setter Nora Waddoups added 25 assists, 18 digs, and 4 kills on .800 hitting in a strong all-around showing.
Senior opposite hitter Meline Shulikov and redshirt freshman outside hitter Annelie Wilson each added 4 kills, with Wilson also tallying 9 digs and 4 blocks. Junior middlbe blocker Jaydin Watts contributed 3 kills and 4 blocks, and redshirt freshman Ava Brickner made the most of her time off the bench, hitting .429 with 3 kills in two sets.
Defensively, Werbelow led the Bengals with 9 digs and 1 service ace, while Heimlicher added 6 digs from the back row. Idaho State totaled 8 team blocks but was limited by 17 attack errors and eight receiving miscues.
The Bengals kept each set within reach, including rallying late in the third to close within 22–21 before Montana State finished the match with a 3–0 scoring run.
