Men's Basketball Finalizes 2025-26 Non-Conference Schedule

POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State Men's Basketball team has officially released their 2025-26 non-conference schedule, penning one exhibition game and 13 regular season games. Of their 13 regular season games, the Bengals will play 10 D1 opponents, just two of which will be at home in Pocatello (Denver & UC Davis).

"We are excited about our upcoming non-conference schedule," shares Head Coach, Ryan Looney, who enters his 7th season at the helm in Pocatello. "Some of the destinations will be fun for our student-athletes. We are looking forward to competing."

The Bengals' exhibition match will be versus Northwest University, the second matchup between the two schools in the last three seasons, and is scheduled for October 24th.

ISU will kick off their regular season with a home game against Park University – Gilbert on Nov. 4th, followed by a 4-game roadtrip.

On their roadtrip, the Bengals will begin at the University of San Diego on Nov. 7th and at San Diego State University on Nov. 9th. Idaho State continues their roadtrip in Seattle, WA against the Seattle U Redhawks on Nov. 15th as Ryan Looney & Co. will face former Bengal defensive standout, Maleek Arington, who played with ISU from 2022-24. To round out their 4-game roadtrip, the Bengals will take on Santa Clara in Santa Clara, CA before returning home to take on Justice University in Pocatello, ID on Nov. 21st.

Over the Thanksgiving break the Bengals will be in Boise, ID, taking on Sam Houston State on Nov. 26th and Cal State Northridge on Nov. 28th in two neutral site games.

"Playing two games in Boise over Thanksgiving will allow us to reach more Bengal fans. It will give more people in that area an opportunity to see us early in the season," states Looney.

Idaho State then participates in the 3rd annual Big Sky vs. Summit League Challenge, traveling to Kansas City, MO to take on the UMKC Roos on Dec. 3rd, followed by hosting the University of Denver Pioneers in Reed Gym on Dec. 6th.

The Bengals will hit the road for the final time of their non-conference schedule for a date with Utah Valley in Orem, UT on Dec. 10th.

Idaho State finishes off non-conference play with two home games, their first on Nov. 18th vs. Montana Western, and their second on Nov. 21st against UC Davis.

Looney shares, "We are excited… It will definitely be challenging, but will prepare us for Big Sky Conference play."
