POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State held a strong Wyoming attack in check for most of Thursday night's match, but a second-half strike proved to be the difference as the Bengals fell 1-0 to the Cowgirls at Davis Field.
Despite a gritty team performance and an even 50-50 possession battle, Idaho State (2-3-2) couldn't find the finishing touch in the final third. Wyoming's Alyssa Glover scored the match's only goal in the 64th minute, curling home a long-range shot for her fifth goal of the season.
The Bengals generated several dangerous opportunities, including a one-on-one from Saydree Cooke in the 13th minute and a late effort from Madison Culp in the 84th, but Wyoming keeper Haley Bartel came up with three saves to preserve the shutout.
