POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State senior Seth Babbel has been named the Big Sky Conference Men's Cross Country Player of the Week following his individual victory at the Montana Invite in Missoula on Saturday morning.
Babbel captured the men's 8K title in 24:30.1, leading a 1–2 Bengal finish alongside teammate George Karamitsos and helping Idaho State secure the team championship with 30 points.
The win highlighted Babbel's ability to compete at the front of a strong Big Sky field. His performance paced a Bengal squad that placed five runners in the top 10 and defeated both Idaho and Montana for the team title.
The honor comes as Babbel builds on momentum from a standout 2025 track campaign, where he consistently ranked among the Bengals' top distance performers and carried that form into the fall season.
