Men's Basketball Associate Head Coach Joe White Selected to Attend 2026 Silver Waves Media Power Lunch

EL SEGUNDO, California – Idaho State Bengals Men's Basketball Associate Head Coach Joe White has been selected to attend the 2026 Silver Waves Media Power Lunch, one of the most prestigious and influential events in college basketball, set for April 2 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The fourth annual Silver Waves Media Power Lunch will feature 75 of the top assistant coaches and basketball personnel in the country who are considered prime candidates to become future Division I head coaches. The event, held during Final Four weekend at IU Indy, continues to serve as a premier platform connecting elite coaching talent with athletic directors and industry leaders.

"I am honored and humbled to be included on this list by Ryan Silver and his Silver Waves Media team," White said. "I've got a ton of respect for Ryan as well as so many of these other coaches included on this list."

"Thank you to Ryan Silver and his team for inviting me to such a high level, respected, prestigious event this year at the Final Four," White added. "I'm honored. Ryan and his team do an incredible job with everything they have their hands on."

White is in his seventh season overall with Idaho State and his third as Associate Head Coach after being hired by head coach Ryan Looney in 2019. During his tenure in Pocatello, White has been instrumental in guiding the Bengals to three of their top finishes in more than 20 years, including two top-four finishes in the Big Sky Conference over the past four seasons.

White helped lead the 2024-25 Bengals to a fourth-place finish in the Big Sky Conference after being picked eighth in the preseason poll. The Bengals earned a first-round bye in the conference tournament and totaled a program-record six individual conference honors, highlighted by the league's MVP and Newcomer of the Year along with multiple All-Conference selections.

White's impact spans every area of the program, serving as Defensive Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator while also overseeing academics, scheduling, scouting reports, and player development. His leadership has helped establish a culture of consistency and growth, while producing all-conference performers and academic success at a high level.

The Silver Waves Media Power Lunch has quickly become one of the most respected events in the sport. Of the coaches selected to attend in previous years, 12 have gone on to earn Division I head coaching positions, further highlighting the significance of the recognition.

White's selection to the 2026 Power Lunch, along with his five career honors on the Silver Waves Media Top 100 Most Impactful Coaches and GMs list, continues to reinforce his reputation as one of the rising leaders in Division I men's basketball.
