BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho State men's tennis team delivered one of its biggest weekends of the season at the Boise State Spring Invitational, finishing 2–1 across three matches and earning a 4–3 victory over No. 65 Gonzaga in the third-place match, the first ranked win for Idaho State under Head Coach, Oliver Good. The Bengals opened the event with a 4–2 win over Montana before falling to No. 66 Boise State in the semifinal, then closed the tournament with the ranked win over Gonzaga.
"It was a great weekend of matches where we competed really well as a team," said head coach Oliver Good. "To get wins against our reigning conference champions and a nationally ranked opponent shows what we are capable of. We've got some areas we need to improve before playing at Idaho next week so we'll get to work to ensure we are ready to go."
Idaho State vs. Montana
(Opening Round – Boise, Idaho)
Doubles
Montana secured the doubles point with wins on courts two and three, putting the Bengals behind early in the dual.
