POCATELLO, Idaho - For the first time in the 2026 season, the Bengals have swept the Big Sky Conference weekly honors. Kira Day has been named the player of the week and Riley Wickum the pitcher of the week.
This is the first weekly Big Sky award for Day and the 2nd of Wickum's career.
Kira Day | Big Sky Player of the Week
Kira Day was a force in the middle of the Idaho State lineup as the Bengals went 5-0 at the Orange and Black Classic in Pocatello this week. Day hit .462 for the weekend with a 1.154 slugging percentage and a .500 percentage. Day was 6-for-13 across the five games with two home runs and a triple. Day drive in seven runs and provided a large part of the Bengal offense that outscored opponents 45-11 on the weekend.

Riley Wickum | Big Sky Pitcher of the Week
Riley Wickum was dominant in the circle during Idaho State's 5-0 weekend at the Orange and Black Classic in Pocatello. The right hander made two appearances including one start and finsihed the weekend 1-0. over her 8.0 innings pitched in the weekend, Wickum did not allow a single run and only walked three batters while holding opponents faced to .222 Average ont he weekend.

The Bengals are back at it this week with a single game at Utah State, followed by a west coast trip to take on the San Diego Torerros.
