POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State falls in straight sets to Boise in final day of the Orange & Black Classic Saturday afternoon. The Bengals were outhit by the Broncos 48-41, while the Broncos also finished with a higher hitting percentage (.192 to .147).

Recap

While a extremely close and competitive match the Bengals were unable to regain the momentum after yesterday's loss, falling in straight sets (26-28, 20-25, 23-25). Idaho State got out of the gates early, putting up 8-2 early in the first. Though Boise quickly caught up to them, the Bnegals were unable to keep out with the broncos falling 26-28 early in the match.

Idaho State was unable to recover from the first set. The Broncos led 6-4 early in the second. The Bnegals would only shortly catch up with the broncos going 12-12 before Boise pulled ahead. Boise would close set two with 25-21.

The Bengals would be unable to catch up in the third set. Idaho State would get as much as a six-point lead on the Broncos. The Bengals would play the Broncos closely the remainder of the match, however the Broncos would grow their lead by as many as two proving to be too much for the Bengals, as they would fall 23-25 in the final frame.

Jaydin Watts finished in a team-high with 12 kills on a .455 hitting percentage.to go along with three digs, three blocks, and two assists. Bella Beatty put up four kills, one assist and seven blocks, and Tana Howard also totaled four kills, four assists, and four blocks.

The Bengals outblocked the Broncos 11-10, but Boise would finish with more kills, assists and tie for aces, while holding the Bengals to just .147 hitting on the night, the Bengals' fifth-worst offensive performance of the season.
