ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico - Idaho State Women's soccer concluded their non-conference schedule Sunday afternoon, with a 1-1 draw vs. New Mexico.

Samantha Fenske and Syleena Hogan led the Bengal offense with 2 shots each and Fenske is credited with ISU's lone goal of the day. Aliya Garrett saved 5 of the 6 shots on goal from the Lobos while playing the entire 90 minutes. 

Nolyn Cromie took the first shot for the Bengals at 4:39. Garrett started off strong, recording 2 saves back-to-back in the 6th minute. ISU took 4 shots in the first half but could not find the back of the net.

New Mexico scored in the 23rd minute of the first half, but was denied twice in the second by Garrett recording saves in the 60th and 70th minutes. 

ISU trailed for the majority of the game but began creating more opportunities in the second half. All 3 of the Bengals shots on goal occurred in the second half, most notably Fenske's goal from a penalty kick in the 89th minute of the game, with just 1:58 remaining. 

The Bengals were outshot 15-10 and also faced a disadvantage in corner kicks 6-4. Despite the disadvantage they fought hard and never gave up to end their non-conference schedule in a tie and break their losing streak.
