Idaho State Outdoor (2025): In his senior outdoor season, Cade Ricks continued to excel in the pole vault. At the Bengal Invitational (05/02/25), he achieved a season-best clearance of 4.99m (16'4.5"), securing 5th place. During the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships (05/14/25), Ricks cleared 4.80m (15'9"), finishing 7th in the finals. Earlier in the season, he recorded a mark of 4.84m (15'10.5") at the Beach Invitational (04/17/25), placing 15th. Additionally, he competed at the Utah Spring Classic (04/12/25), clearing 4.50m (14'9") to finish 6th. 

Idaho State Indoor (2024–25): Ricks delivered a standout indoor season, highlighted by a personal best clearance of 5.11m (16'9.25") at the Inland Northwest Invitational (02/01/25), earning 1st place and moving into the top 10 on Idaho State's all-time list. He also cleared 5.05m (16'6.75") at both the Stacy Dragila Open (02/07/25) and the Bobcat Challenge (01/25/25), securing 3rd place finishes at both meets. At the Big Sky Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships (02/27/25), Ricks cleared 5.04m (16'6.5"), finishing 5th in the finals.


Idaho State Outdoor (2024): Finished 8th in pole vault at the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship (05/11/24)... named to the Big Sky Spring All-Academic Team.

Idaho State Indoor (2023-24): Another strong indoor season… competed in six meets all in pole vault… placed 3rd in his first meet of the season at the Snake River Open (01/12/24)... secured 1st place at the Mtn States games (02/10/24)... finished 5th in pole vault (5.04m/16’ 6.5”) a personal best at the Big Sky Indoor Track & Field Championship (02/24/24)... named to the Big Sky Winter All-Academic Team.

Idaho State Outdoor (2023): Started the year placing 6th in pole vault (4.65m/15’ 3”) at the Utah-WSU Spring Classic (04/08/23)... competed in pole vault at Pacific Coast Invitational, Beach Invitational, and BYU Robison Invitational… finished 5th in pole vault at the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track Meeting (05/13/23)... named to the Big Sky Spring All-Academic Team.

Idaho State Indoor (2022-23): In one of his best seasons he competed in pole vault for all six meets… all his finishes were in the top-ten… placed 4th at the Stacy Dragila Open (01/28/23)... 3rd at the Bobcat Performance (02/10/23)... finished the season placing 6th at the Big Sky Indoor Track & Field Championships (02/25/23)... named to the Big Sky Winter All-Academic Team.

Idaho State Outdoor (2022): Did not compete

Idaho State Indoor (2021-22): Opened the year finishing 3rd in the heptathlon at the Snake River Open (01/15/22)... finished 2nd in pole vault and earned a personal best in the heptathlon (4,429) to secure a 5th place finish at the Mtn States Games (02/12/22)... ended the season competing in pole vault at the Big Sky Indoor Track and Field Championships (02/26/22)... named to the Big Sky Winter All-Academic Team.

Idaho State Outdoor (2021): Competed in seven meets during the season… opened the year with a pair of top-five finishes in 110m hurdles and pole vault at the Westmont Collegiate Classic (03/27/21)... competed at UVU Collegiate, Aggie Invitational, and ISU Bengal Invitational… ran a personal best in the 110m hurdles (16.97s) at the Weber State Twilight Invitational (05/04/21)... ended the season at the Big Sky Outdoor Track & Field Championships earning personal best multiple events (decathlon, shot put, high jump, 400m, javelin, and 1,500m) to help secure a 9th place finish (05/15/21).

Blackfoot High School: Four-time letter recipient in track, two-time recipient in football, 2018 4A Pole Vault State Champion 

Personal: Cade the son of Jodie and Jaron Ricks and he has three siblings, McKay, McKenzie, and Hannah. His favorite ways to spend his time are waterfowl hunting and enjoying the outdoors.
