SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENTS
We extend our most profound appreciation to all who have generously given to ISU Athletics. We want to give special recognition to our scholarship endowment supporters. These gifts are invested for the long term and intended to provide a permanent source of financial support for ISU Athletics. Each year, a portion of the fund is paid out—usually about 5 percent—and used for the purposes the donor and the university agreed upon when the gift was made.
What distinguishes endowments is their unique capacity to alter the programs, perception, and future of ISU Athletics. More than gifts, they are true investments in the future of ISU Athletics and Bengal student-athletes.
The mission of the ISU Department of Athletics is to promote the well being of student-athletes and support their success in social, cultural, athletic, personal, and academic endeavors. Scholarship Endowment gifts realize our mission and provide a meaningful way for ISU Athletics’ supporters to contribute, through the common bond of sport, provide a means of ongoing association with the University, and leave a lasting legacy.
The value of the ISU Athletics program contributes to educational and personal growth of young men and women by developing the positive attributes of: dedication, discipline, responsibility, cooperation,
self-confidence, leadership and citizenship learned while striving for individual, team, and institutional success.
