Santa Rita HS: Four year letterman in basketball and two year letterman in football ... averaged 19.4 points a game and was named to the first-team all-league and second-team all-state while leading his team to the state championship his senior season ... as a junior he averaged 15.7 points, 8.5 rebounds, three assists and two blocks a game while earning first-team All-Gila Conference, first-team All-Southern Arizona and honorable mention all-state.
