Navid, a Scarborough, ON, Canada native, has served as a Graduate Assistant with the Men's Basketball program for the last two seasons, beginning in 2024-25, and was promoted to the teams' Full-Time GA in April of 2025. Hussain's promotion includes elevated responsibilities with the team such as: handling all facets of operations and day-to-day work, conducting video work, and coordinating the managers in our support staff.
Previously Hussain served as the Video Coordinator (remote) for Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (NAIA) Men's Basketball for the 2023-24 season. They reached their first National Tournament berth in program history.Â
In the years prior, he was the Lead Video Coordinator for Western Men's Basketball from 2022-23.Â
Navid earned his Master's degree in Athletic Administration from Idaho State University in 2025, and is currently pursuing his second Master's degree from ISU.
Prior to Idaho State, Navid completed HBSc. in Mathematics & Statistics from McMaster University and graduated in 2023. During that time he served as Video Coordinator for McMaster Men's Basketball from 2020-22. He also has a total of three seasons of USports experience in Canada.Â
He is the son of Rajna and Delwar Hussain and has two older brothers, Tawhid and Rahat. Â
