Rosbie Mutcherson

Rosbie Mutcherson Jr.

The 2021-22 season marked the first season for Rosbie Mutcherson Jr. as an assistant coach with Idaho State University men’s basketball program. He joined the Bengal coaching staff in May 2021.

In addition to on-court coaching, Mutcherson’s duties included scouting, recruiting, social media content, guard development, community engagement, name, image & likeness liaison, video operations, and NCAA eligibility.

Mutcherson came to Idaho State from Cleveland State University where he worked as the director of video operations for the Vikings. He assisted the Vikings to a regular season & conference tournament championship. The Vikings were participants in the 2021 NCAA tournament bubble for the third time in school history, and first since 2009.

In 2019-2020, Mutcherson joined Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) as an assistant coach. While at SLCC, Mutcherson worked primarily with guard development and served as the team’s offensive coordinator. That year the Bruins finished 29-4 ending the year with a region championship en route to a number four overall seed in the national junior college athletic association tournament. Before that, he worked at Northwest Florida State College as an assistant coach for two seasons.

In three years of NJCAA basketball, Mutcherson helped maintain a 100% graduation rate. He was also a part of two NJCAA elite eight appearances, three consecutive region/conference championships, three NJCAA first team All-American selections and one national player of the year.

Mutcherson played collegiately at Covenant College, earning his Bachelor degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. He would later earn his Masters degree in Business Administration from Crown College in June 2019.

A native of Martinez, Georgia, Mutcherson has one sibling, Relonda Mutcherson.
