In May of 2022, Crew Keller was hired as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development and External Relations. Keller also serves as the sport administrator for Men’s Basketball along with Men’s and Women’s Tennis.

Since coming to Pocatello, Keller has reinvigorated the athletics' annual giving efforts with the Prepare to Roar campaign notching three consecutive record-breaking efforts in 2022, 2023, and 2024. Most recently, the 2024 campaign raised north of $900,000 through 655 gifts, far above the goal of $750,000 and 600 gifts. Since taking over in 2022, the campaign has grown over 325% in dollars raised and 280% in donor participation.

Keller has also helped the Bengals secure many major gifts and jumpstart key capital improvement projects highlighted by six-figure contributions to renovate the Jared Allen Strength and Conditioning Center, erect Direct Communications Field at Miller Ranch Stadium, and establish the women’s sports excellence fund. Keller is also credited with helping cultivate seven-figure gifts to support Bengal Nutrition and install state-of-the-art videoboards in three of Idaho State University’s marquee athletics venues.

In addition to his fundraising efforts, Keller has also helped reimagine the department’s marketing and community engagement efforts by creating monthly newsletter campaigns for each of ISU’s 15 NCAA Division I programs, creating unique ticket promotions and giveaways for local businesses, elevating the season ticket holder experience, hosting off-campus events promoting Bengal athletics, and establishing key partnerships with youth organizations across Southeast Idaho.

Prior to Idaho State, Keller spent two years at Knox College, in Galesburg, Illinois, as the Assistant Athletic Director for K Club Engagement and Fundraising, where he worked closely with the alumni engagement office, office of advancement, and the athletics department.

During his tenure with the Prairie Fire Keller played an instrumental role in transitioning the department from a multi-week spring campaign to a 24-hour day of giving where he orchestrated the first athletics giving day in 2021, which garnered over $120,000 and notched a fiscal year record for the department totaling $194,000. In its second year, the 2022 athletics giving day saw heightened levels of success as the K Club again surpassed its dollar goal, this time raising in excess of $150,000 and setting a second consecutive department record for total dollars raised in a fiscal year. Capital improvements including new state-of-the-art LED scoreboards at Blodgett Field, the home of the baseball program, as well as the softball field were also made possible thanks to Keller's successful fundraising efforts.

Outside of athletics, Keller also was a key driver in the strategy and execution of the College wide day of giving, #KnoxProud Day, in 2020, 2021, and 2022. Across all designations, the 2021 effort netted nearly $1.8 million, a college record, and followed up in 2022 with even greater success as the average size of the gift was more than doubled and there was a notable increase in the number of new donors.

At Knox, Keller worked directly with the head coaches of all 18 NCAA Division III teams to effectively organize their outreach to their alumni and supporters, organized on-campus and virtual events, as well as assisted with athletics marketing. In addition, he oversaw the athletics alumni advocacy group, the K Club Engagement Council, which took to new heights with increased membership and representation.

Familiar with the NCAA Division I setting, Keller was an academic learning specialist at the University of Iowa during his graduate years. He worked with student-athletes from all 20 Hawkeye varsity sports.

Hailing from Lincoln, Nebraska, Keller was a dual-sport collegiate athlete competing on the football and swim teams at Nebraska Wesleyan University (NWU), an NCAA Division III institution, where he was a four-year letter winner in swimming and three-year letter winner in football. An accomplished athlete, he was a multi-year team captain and received numerous IIAC/A-R-C All-Conference accolades. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Sport Management from NWU in May 2018, and his Master’s degree in Sport and Recreation Management from the University of Iowa in May 2020.
