Idaho State Outdoor (2025): Jared Harden had a notable freshman outdoor season, achieving personal bests in multiple middle-distance events. At the Bengal Invitational (05/02/25), he recorded a personal best of 1:56.97 in the 800m, placing 8th, and 3:57.74 in the 1500m, securing 6th place. He also competed in the 5000m at the Utah Spring Classic (04/12/25), finishing 8th with a time of 16:15.76. At the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships (05/14/25), Harden ran the 800m in 1:54.34, placing 18th in the preliminaries.Â
Idaho State Indoor (2024–25): During the indoor season, Harden competed in the mile event. He achieved a personal best of 4:30.48 at the Snake River Open (01/16/25), placing 25th. He also ran 4:43.71 at the Bobcat Challenge (01/25/25), finishing 13th.Â
Idaho State Cross Country (2024): In the cross country season, Harden participated in several meets. He ran the 6k at the Big Sky Preview Meet (09/20/24) in 26:09.0, finishing 31st. At the LC State Invite (10/19/24), he completed the 8k in 25:31.0, placing 40th. He also competed in the 10k at the NCAA Division I Mountain Region Cross Country Championships (11/15/24), finishing 109th with a time of 33:12.8.
Idaho State Outdoor (2024): Redshirt season... named to the Big Sky Spring All-Academic Team.
Highland High School: Ran 23 minutes in his first 5k as a freshman, ended his senior year running a 5k in 15:55.0s and finished 5th at the 5A State Championships
Personal: Jared is the son of Tania and John Brian Harden, and he also has four siblings, Brenna, Josh, Jacob (twin brother), and Seth. Before joining the Bengals, Jared served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 2021-2023. He has been running since 2017 and has enjoyed it since he started.Â
