Personal: Ashlee is the daughter of Shelly and Shaun LaRue and has a sister, Emilee, who also plays Division I softball at Lamar University. Softball and baseball runs in the family as her father played professional baseball in the Cincinnati Reds organization as a pitcher for a pair of seasons and her Uncle, Jason, played Major League Baseball for 12 seasons as a catcher for the Cincinnati Reds, Kansas City Royals, and St. Louis Cardinals. She chose Idaho State because the “coaching staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming, the campus/town is beautiful, and [she] wanted to experience a new place with lots of outdoor activities.”
